Comparison between methanol burner and diesel burner
1、 Cost comparison.
Calculate the amount of steam per ton using a one ton steam boiler.
1. Diesel fuel: priced at 9.0 yuan/kg, with a calorific value of approximately 10200 kcal/kg. Approximately 70kg of diesel fuel is required to produce 1 ton of steam, with a cost of 630 yuan/ton;
2. Methanol: priced at 3.5 yuan/kg, with a calorific value of approximately 5000 kcal/kg. Producing 1 ton of steam requires approximately 140kg of methanol, with a cost of 490 yuan per ton.
Through the comparison of the above examples, it can also produce 1 ton of steam. Using a methanol boiler can save costs by about 140 yuan, and the cost saving effect is very obvious.
2、 Comparison of usage effects.
Methanol boilers are indeed more cost-effective than diesel boilers. So, comparing the two types of fuel boilers, which one is more effective in use?
The advantages of methanol boilers can be manifested as:
1. Methanol is a new type of energy that does not pollute the environment and can be used in industrial parks and urban areas;
2. Low working noise, integrated fan relying on burner, servo motor automatic control operation, noise less than 60 decibels, will not cause noise pollution to the surrounding environment;
3. Wide range of energy sources, methanol is a biofuel with a wide range of sources, sold in major cities across the country, and the energy used is easily accessible;
4. There is no need for opening fees, as natural gas pipelines require a significant amount of opening fees, which can be saved by methanol boilers;
5. Low fuel cost, compared to natural gas and oil, methanol has lower costs and can effectively save operating expenses.
Diesel engines have excellent performance, but serious pollution is generated during the combustion process. During the combustion process of diesel engines, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and other pollutants are generated. The operation of boilers also generates discharged wastewater, and the regeneration agent for softened water also generates wastewater, washing water, and so on.
3、 Can methanol and diesel be used together?
The answer is no. Although methanol and ethanol belong to oil-fired boilers, there are significant differences in the combustion methods of the two fuels. Although methanol and diesel are both petroleum fuels, there are fundamental differences between the two. Methanol has strong volatility and high corrosiveness, and the atomization mechanism during combustion is different. Therefore, if a diesel boiler wants to use methanol, the original diesel burner and pipeline system need to be changed to a methanol burner and pipeline system.
